KARACHI: President Mamnoon Hussain has said that growers can increase production manifold by using modern farming besides ensuring quality of the products.
Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Fruit and Vegetables Exporters, Importers and Merchant Association (PFVA), which called on him at the President House in Islamabad on Tuesday, Mamnoon Hussain said with latest technology and other scientific methods, growers and people associated with the horticulture sector could benefit a lot.
The president assured the delegation of his support to resolve issues being faced by the sector.
Earlier, PFVA President Waheed Ahmed informed the president that exporters were making investment in pack houses and processing plants.
The government was also supporting in establishment of pack houses and common facility centres with funding from Export Development Fund.
The PFVA team comprised Aslam Pakhali and Mohammad Ismaeel.
