MPA booked for releasing poachers DERA GHAZI KHAN: Taunsa police registered a case against a PML-N MPA, his six identified and 40 unidentified associates on charges of ransacking the wildlife department office and forcibly releasing four poachers.
Taunsa Sharif police registered the case against newly elected MPA Mumtaz Bhutto Qaisrani and his accomplices for ransacking the wildlife office and releasing four poachers from the custody of the wildlife department inspector.
Earlier, the wildlife team arrested Shakeel, Adnan, Jahanzaib and Shaukat Husain when they were illegally hunting quail in Mauza Jhoke Bodo and Rakh Kot Qaisrani.
Later, MPA Qaisrani along with at least 40 associates went to the local wildlife office and forcibly got the arrested poachers released besides allegedly ransacking the office.
Wildlife Inspector Saadullah Leghari had lodged an application for registration of a case against the MPA and his accomplices.
Taunsa police registered a case under sections 353, 186, 225, 379, 148/149 and 13/.20/65.
