ISLAMABAD: The National Taekwondo Championship will begin with an impressive opening ceremony on May 7 in Karachi.
This championship will feature over 400 athletes and officials from across the country.
President Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF) retired Col Wasim Ahmed stated on Thursday that the Council General of Korean Consulate, Karachi will be the chief guest of the opening ceremony.
Athletes from Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Fata, Islamabad, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force, Railways, Police, Wapda and Higher Education Commission will be in action.
These athletes, aged 18-25, will be vying for 55 gold, 55 silver and 110 bronze medals in 34 various categories over five days of the competition.
