PA moved for resignation of Ayaz Sadiq LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday submitted a resolution to the Punjab Assembly calling for the “resignation of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq for his partisan attitude favouring the prime minister and disfavouring the PTI chief”.
The resolution was submitted to the assembly secretariat, which states that this house condemns the attitude of the speaker and demands his resignation.
Meanwhile, PTI leader Dr Yasmin Rashid said her party leadership could not be intimidated by PML-N ministers’ threats and it would continue with its war against corruption in the country.
Addressing a party workers’ meeting here on Tuesday, Dr Yasmin Rashid said: “The PTI leadership is honest and patriotic towards the nation and masses, while the nation is now well aware of the corruption and crime stories of the PML-N leaders.”
She said the PTI was not making any unjust demand but requesting for accountability of the corrupt and looters within the ambit of law and constitution.
Dr Rashid made it clear that the rulers should know that they would never be able to blackmail the PTI leadership. She said the PTI would face all kinds of pressures from the government and defeat them. She said PTI Chairman Imran Khan had the potential to drive the nation out of crisis and put it on the path of progress and prosperity.
