Parties resolve to defend every inch KARACHI: Leaders from different political and religious parties on Monday showed their resolve to defend every inch of the country in case of India or any external force attempted to violate its sovereignty.
At an ‘all parties conference’ organised by the Majlis-i-Wehdatul Muslimeen (MWM), leaders from the MWM, Sunni Tehreek, Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan, Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan, Tehreek-i-Insaf, Pakistan Awami Tehreek and other parties and students organisations at the Karachi Press Club shared their thoughts about the ongoing aggression showed by the Indian army at the line of control.
“Accusing Pakistan of any terror activity, India reflects the Indian government’s anti-Pakistan approach. India never wants peace in the region,” said a joint statement issued after the conference. “India’s real concern is the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which is a beginning for development and prosperity of Pakistan. The CPEC is the key project for the future of Pakistan’s economy and its people and its security cannot be compromised.”
The conference also passed resolutions demanding a ban on Indian content on Pakistani channels and strong response from the government at every international and diplomatic forum to expose atrocities of the Indian forces in the occupied Kashmir.
