PAT won’t join PTI sit-in

PAT won’t join PTI sit-in KARACHI: The Pakistan Awami Tehreek has declined to become a part of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s protest planned for Oct 30 and PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri left London for Canada on Monday without meeting any of the PTI leaders who had arrived to persuade him to join the anti-government campaign.

Television news channels reported that PTI leaders Jehangir Tareen and Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar were in London along with their ally and Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed in a bid to persuade Dr Qadri to support the PTI’s sit-in in Islamabad, but failed to meet him.

The channels reported that the PAT’s decision had been conveyed during a telephone contact between Dr Qadri and Mr Rasheed.
