Steps to boost Balochistan security discuss
QUETTA: A high-level meeting held at the Southern Command Headquarters on Wednesday discussed various measures aimed at bringing improvement to the security situation in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan.
Official sources said that the meeting was jointly presided over by Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri and Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Aamir Riaz.
The political and military leadership of Balochistan decided to take all steps to eliminate terrorism. The meeting was informed that security forces and government would not hesitate to render any sacrifice for the protection of people and the motherland.
“No stone will be left unturned to strengthen the country’s defence,” the meeting vowed and noted that more concrete steps were needed for improving law and order and for ensuring development and prosperity of the province.
Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Chief Secretary Saifullah Chattah, IG Police Ahsan Mehboob, IG Frontier Corps Maj Gen Sher Afgun, Chief of Staff Southern Command Maj Gen Syed Muhammad Adnan and other senior civil and military officials attended the meeting.
